Session Six: The Return of the Old Ones...?
[2024/04/01 15:51] Sonja Bikergrrl: How about an Aussie theme...
[2024/04/01 15:51] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: ooooh?
[2024/04/01 15:52] Sonja Bikergrrl: /me gets the stream streaming, and opens up notecards
[2024/04/01 15:52] Sonja Bikergrrl: okay, so... last time... we fought some grey types in the square, one put to sleep, the other two slain
[2024/04/01 15:53] Sonja Bikergrrl: and with that reminder... Ggggggggrrrrreeeeeettings, Adventurers, other players get awesome theme music, you get to listen to a didgeridoo.
[2024/04/01 15:54] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: link?
[2024/04/01 15:54] Sonja Bikergrrl: to the didgeridoo?
[2024/04/01 15:54] Sonja Bikergrrl: oh, the stream
[2024/04/01 15:54] Sonja Bikergrrl: http://81.133.27.194:8000
[2024/04/01 15:56] Sonja Bikergrrl: /me checks notes... city guards are piling in, there's three injured bystanders, a very bemused potion seller, one unconcious figure and.... what do you do next?
[2024/04/01 15:56] Alicia Frakture: Step back, and let the guards in. more than happy to say what she saw
[2024/04/01 15:57] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "Thank you for your help, but you should really have left this to me."
[2024/04/01 15:57] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben will clutch her injury with both hands, letting her spear drop to the ground while one elbow conceals the looted wand. "I already told you, we owe you one for the help you gave us."
[2024/04/01 15:57] Sonja Bikergrrl: Guards: "Alright.... what's going on here?"
[2024/04/01 15:58] Sonja Bikergrrl: (Pretty sure Dahlia healed that)
[2024/04/01 15:58] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): (yes had cast a heal)
[2024/04/01 15:59] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: ( But the blood is still there, yeah? )
[2024/04/01 16:00] Sonja Bikergrrl: The guards fan out, asking questions. The figures are examined, found to be all identical - grey flesh, metal panels and cables, tubes of flexible material
[2024/04/01 16:00] Sonja Bikergrrl: (Yep.)
[2024/04/01 16:02] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben, once the guards are looking at other things, will make much less loud complaining to avoid attracting attention.
[2024/04/01 16:02] Sonja Bikergrrl: Leesha, Dahlia?
[2024/04/01 16:02] Alicia Frakture: Helping and answering the guards questions, keeping an eye on the Murderhobo woman as well
[2024/04/01 16:03] Sonja Bikergrrl: Guard: "Well? Just what happened here? Four of you, three of them... did you have to kill them?"
[2024/04/01 16:04] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): looks around to see if might find an empty bottle anywhere around while also looking to see if there is anyone in need of help near while paying attention to teh conversation
[2024/04/01 16:04] Sonja Bikergrrl: ...what do you want a bottle for...?
[2024/04/01 16:05] Alicia Frakture: I didn't kill anyone. We were talking to her *points to Murderhobo* and these guys decided to attack. I can completely and honestly say I did not lay a finger on them.
[2024/04/01 16:05] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): to fill with pixie dust, so i can see if it can be sold to help the group with getting supplies needed
[2024/04/01 16:07] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "Sir, these people started shooting, and civilians were being injured. Should we have stood aside?"
[2024/04/01 16:08] Sonja Bikergrrl: (Technically you would need to find an alchemist to do that - but beware, an unscrupuluous alchemist might try imprisoning you...)
[2024/04/01 16:09] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): (has no desire to become stuck in some alchemist's pixie lamp, so searching for a bottle passively, safely )
[2024/04/01 16:09] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "They tried to hit us with powerful wands. They went for the kill right away." Debben holds up her handful of her own blood as evidence.
[2024/04/01 16:09] Sonja Bikergrrl: The guard scowls at Katana. He clearly isn't buying it. Old Mother Murderhobo chimes in: "She was asking me about undead!" The guard snaps a look back to you. "Mind explaining -that-?"
[2024/04/01 16:10] Sonja Bikergrrl: Guard: "And... were you casting magic? You got a licence for that?"
[2024/04/01 16:14] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Yeah. Leesha, left hand belt pouch, the square one."
[2024/04/01 16:15] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "It's quite simple. I'm from far away, and thought I recognized the good lady. Clearly, I was mistaken."
[2024/04/01 16:15] Alicia Frakture: Leesha blinks and checks her belt pouch."They were using magic... they" as she nods to the guys on the ground. they injured people with it."
[2024/04/01 16:16] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben has her magic license in said pouch!
[2024/04/01 16:16] Sonja Bikergrrl: The guard checks Debbens' licence. "Stamped yesterday... looks to be in order...."
[2024/04/01 16:17] Sonja Bikergrrl: Guard: "Alright... not sure who -these- guys are but everyone says they attacked you, and you only defended so... alright... move along now!"
[2024/04/01 16:17] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "Leesha, Debben, might you lend me some gold coins? I'll repay you later."
[2024/04/01 16:18] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Sure. Not that I have a lot, but its a bit." She says this more quietly.
[2024/04/01 16:19] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana passes the coins to Old Mother Murderhobo. "For your trouble, good lady."
[2024/04/01 16:20] Sonja Bikergrrl: so.... now what? Seems you got a few tasks... 1) find alchemist 2) find apothecary (and those are the ones I know of)
[2024/04/01 16:20] Alicia Frakture: Leesha fishes around and brings out a few
[2024/04/01 16:22] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: How much do we want to find alchemist and apothecary now we're quite low on gold?
[2024/04/01 16:23] Sonja Bikergrrl: well, you need powder for the firing tube that the dwarf is making, so there's that
[2024/04/01 16:23] Sonja Bikergrrl: one of them might even pay for pixie dust
[2024/04/01 16:23] Alicia Frakture: We need something for healing, have to at least try
[2024/04/01 16:23] Sonja Bikergrrl: you want to get Leesha healed
[2024/04/01 16:23] Sonja Bikergrrl: seem to recall you had trade goods
[2024/04/01 16:24] Sonja Bikergrrl: and it's six days before that thing is made
[2024/04/01 16:24] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Oh yeah! I should be looking for a place to offload / trade them
[2024/04/01 16:24] Sonja Bikergrrl: so... you got time.
[2024/04/01 16:24] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): hopes to find a bottle as do not trust alchemist's at all, but if we have to go to them for a bottle is going to hide behing Leesha and Debben while we visit
[2024/04/01 16:27] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Does it seem like we're free to go about our business in the markets and shops?
[2024/04/01 16:27] Sonja Bikergrrl: Yep, the guards said to move along. They're busy with bodies and wounded.
[2024/04/01 16:27] Alicia Frakture: They said we could go so I think we can get going.. please
[2024/04/01 16:28] Sonja Bikergrrl: you have a licence for magic, you were defending, so... they have no call to hold you for anything
[2024/04/01 16:28] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: yes, let's get moving before they change their minds.
[2024/04/01 16:28] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Even though it means not salvaging anything from the weird bodies.
[2024/04/01 16:29] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "Anything taken from them would be useless."
[2024/04/01 16:30] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "What... are they anyway, Katana?"
[2024/04/01 16:31] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "I am not too sure, I understand them only poorly... they were once humans, but changed by foul magic and wierd science. And those are the least of their forces."
[2024/04/01 16:32] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "What should we expect from the greater of their forces? Do you know how their wands work?"
[2024/04/01 16:32] Alicia Frakture: Does Murderhobo tie into them?
[2024/04/01 16:34] Sonja Bikergrrl: "There would be more, and better fighters. It is partly this that makes me certain that the Old Mother is not the right Murderhobo. Remember, it is a Murderhobo who creates an invention that causes their kind to gain power and take over the world. It's them and their kind, that I am here to prevent."
[2024/04/01 16:36] Alicia Frakture: Yet more reason to get some potions
[2024/04/01 16:37] Alicia Frakture: *blinks*
[2024/04/01 16:38] Sonja Bikergrrl: (Potions will be expensive.)
[2024/04/01 16:38] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "But she's just named that, right? For all you know she married into the family."
[2024/04/01 16:39] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "All I know is there are three Murderhobos. And one of them creates something that leads to great evil."
[2024/04/01 16:40] Alicia Frakture: Now we would be down to 2 since she isn't one of them
[2024/04/01 16:41] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "Indeed."
[2024/04/01 16:42] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Why do you think the great evil is undead related?"
[2024/04/01 16:44] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "Again... my understanding of this is poor... but necromancers can use zombie brains for certain acts requiring simple memory and responses... now imagine if a large number of such brains could be ... connected... made to work together... the whole thing being so much more than the sum of the parts."
[2024/04/01 16:44] Alicia Frakture: Like a hive mind.. like bees
[2024/04/01 16:48] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Ugh. I'd be more thinking about that necromancer who blew us up that one time."
[2024/04/01 16:48] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "I do not believe I have heard this story..."
[2024/04/01 16:49] Sonja Bikergrrl: And that is where we have to leave it tonight, I think... got work tomorrow
[2024/04/01 16:49] Alicia Frakture: Leesha can't help but growl at that memory
[2024/04/01 16:49] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): "are necromancers common in this region?"
[2024/04/01 16:50] Sonja Bikergrrl: (necromancers are actually reasonably common-ish... you'd expect to find one every few villages or so. Not all are evil.)
[2024/04/01 16:51] Sonja Bikergrrl: sadly no cliffhanger tonight...
[2024/04/01 16:51] Sonja Bikergrrl: but, given what's coming up very soon ... ;)
[2024/04/01 16:52] Sonja Bikergrrl: see you all tomorrow!
[2024/04/01 16:52] Alicia Frakture: Could always say we made it to a shop what awaits through the door. If you want
